I was one of the lucky few to pick up copies of Han Solo and the Rebel Commandos for Star Wars: Legion while at GenCon. I was only home briefly between the con and another trip, but I was able to get the models built and sneak in a game with them. I REALLY like the way that they played on the table. Read on for my early impressions of them.

10 Points AND Exahust?!? Is it even worth it?
Are Exhaust Weapons worthwhile?
That has been a pretty common question since Legion was first released. Maintaining a healthy action economy in the game can help you get the most from your troopers and exhaust weapons hurt your troopers action efficiency. So, are they actually worth it? I am going to crunch some numbers and see what I can find.

Building a Legion Army for Tournament Play - Part 3 (Putting it all together)
Well, after lots of theorizing on the kind of army I want to take to the GenCon tournament in Part 1 and Part 2 of this series I think I have a pretty good idea of the type of army I want to field at GenCon. Read on to see what I came up with...

Building a Legion Army for Tournament Play - Part 2 (Getting all the tools you'll need vs forcing your opponent to react)
I tend to look at army building for just about any miniature game as putting tools in to a toolbox. I want to have tactical flexibility in my armies so I can adequately respond to whatever I run in to.
But only bringing options that allow you to react can mean surrendering the initiative and flow of the game to your opponent. So, while I try to have a tool to respond to most any situation, I also try to have something that my opponent will need to react to as well.
This post is a continuation of this one where I started my look at building a tournament army for Legion. Let's answer a few more of those questions that I came up with.

Building a Legion Army for Tournament Play - Part 1 (Where to even begin?)
Where do I even start?
As you may have read in my previous post I am headed back to GenCon this year. I have played in both X-wing and Armada events at GenCon before and this year aside from another go at the North American Armada Championships I figured I would enter one of the 3 Maximum Firepower tournaments for Legion.
Which leads to a problem. I have no real idea what a tournament Legion list should look like.
So, this is the first in what I am hoping will be a series of posts as I try to figure out what goes into a Legion tournament army.

Accessorizing Legion
I like games.
I also like to buy shiny accessories for my favorite games. When I buy a new board game I almost immediately check to see if The Broken Token makes a new insert for it.
So, as I am enjoying the heck out of Star Wars; Legion it seemed like time to get some new accessories for the game. Some of that has been terrain and I have some posts coming up on my terrain building projects. Today though I am going to focus on a couple of recent purchases.

Help! Help! I'm Being Suppressed!
Repressed! Suppressed! Same thing right?
Either way I'm sure we can all see the violence inherit in the Legion game system.
Despite all that violence, it is still more than possible to win games of Legions without actually killing much of the opposing force. Not that going pew-pew and blowing up your opponent's troopers isn't good times. It's just that you can often often accomplish your goals by simply aiming a few blaster bolts in the other guy's direction and forcing them to keep their heads down.
The suppression system is one of my favorite parts of the Star Wars: Legion core mechanics and I'm going offer you some tips to getting the most out of it.
