Armada 1.5 Era Commander's Rankings

Any time a new wave comes out, we hop on to do a Commander Ranking!  This is a little bit like a sports Power Ranking where we look at how a commander has been performing, and look ahead to see how we think they might do, but mostly assessing what we feel is their relative power at this current point in time.

Feels like I haven't written anything for Armada in a bit.  Anyways, thanks to the Tagge Thread, I am reminded that it has been 6 months since I did a Power Ranking of the Commanders.  I need to remedy this:

So, without further ado, it's time to rank the various Commanders, thanks to the results of both the Regionals and World Championships!

Wave 7 Upgrades - Drunkle Raddus

I say we fight!

Thrawn is good but it is hard to really plan how to use him.  Drunk Uncle Raddus is easy to build a list around.  He says we fight!  He has ideas!  He drops big nasty things on your opponent's flank and then rips them apart!

Wave 7 Upgrades - Grand Admiral Thrawn

What ship wouldn't want to make 2 commands?  Today, we'll look at one of the two newest commanders for Wave 7 and the best character to come out of the Expanded Universe.  Ladies and Gentlemen... Grand Admiral Thrawn!

Biggs has taken up the stance that lists should be able to function independent of whatever Commander you choose. Of course, this is total rubbish. Everyone knows that you should always build lists to maximize that commander. Now we finally know all the upgrade cards that we will be seeing in the newest expansion, including our two new Commanders.  Both are defensive commanders, as opposed to the very offensive focus we've seen in Wave 2.

Armada Commanders - Wave 2 - Imperials

It's time for more Wave 2 discussion, this time though we will be talking about the Imperial Commanders that are coming out in the 2nd wave.  That's right, we are talking about the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, now firmly in command instead of just in the squadron voted "most likely to be destroyed first".

Armada Commanders - Wave 2 - Rebel

It's been awhile, hasn't it?  The last time we talked about Commanders was back in June, and here we are in October.  Actually, Commanders were one of the first things I discussed on this blog, the very first for Armada being objectives, and Commanders not long after that.

So without further ado - let's go through the new Commanders that the Rebellion gets for Wave 2.
