Wave 7 Rebel Officers (Long Overdue)
Okay, okay. Clearly I've been slacking in writing these. Gonna hammer one of these out for every new release article I write.
Anyways, I owe some Rebel Officers.

Combined Arms - Integrating Different Units In Your Legion Army
Here's an article that has been asked for, but difficult to write. How do we talk about utilizing different units in our Legion armies and the best strategies for doing so? Well, the best way to do this is to look at general battle strategy.

Best Use for Each Ship - Rebels
Some recent forum posts in the FFG community were discussing some of the lesser used ships and variants and what role they can play in a fleet. That really got me thinking about how much the game has evolved over the last couple of years. As of Wave 7 there are 10 different Rebel ships with 20 total variants. Very few of them really stand out as being good in any situation, but I do think all of them can work in specialized roles.
As the oldest, and therefore wisest, of the bloggers on this site I will do my best to figure out the best use of each of the Rebel ship variants. I know this is at best a subjective opinion, so feel free to disagree with me. I'm sure Biggs and Truthiness will too.
And remember, we are talking about the BEST use, not the only use.

Final Advancing POD # 2 - Ginkapo / Aresius
Let's talk about gimmicks. Last year one was good enough to win the whole thing with a pretty respectable gimmick: One fat angry ship and two smaller ships that hit almost as hard - but you need first player or it all goes wrong. This year, the gimmick to watch is Ginkapo:

Corellian Conflict Strategy - Initial Builds (Rebel - pt 1)
Let's talk about building ourselves a Rebel fleet, specifically remembering that the first 400 points we start with has a hard limit of 1 upgrade (not counting commander) per ship. What is the best thing to put on each of your ships? What general principles should you use?
Let's take a look.

Oh, look. The rebels get what the Firespray should have been! Wait a second. 2 days of Rebels in a row? Why could that be...

Commander's Guide - VCX-100 Freighter
It's about time to talk about the Rebel's version of the Lambda Shuttle - the VCX-100 Freighter, and the Ghost / Hera Syndulla elite version of that squadron.

Commander's Guide - E-Wings
Time to talk about another new feature of Wave 5, the Snipe keyword. We already discussed it to a point in Corellian Conflict's TIE Interceptor, but now we see the Rebel variant, and it comes on a generic!

Commander's Guide - Z-95 Headhunter
It takes a while to clear out actual ships, but squadrons are fast! I can do a squadron Monday - Friday and probably fit the Pelta in there somewhere next week. Sounds good? We are going to talk about the new Wave 5 Rebel squadrons today, specifically the Z-95 Headhunter, the predecessor to the X-Wing and all-around cheap, crappy squadron.

Ranking the Upgrades - Ship Titles (Rebel)
Okay, this is going to be a little bit difficult, as we simply have to consider the ship itself that the upgrade is going onto. Still, here we go - hopefully this is good for some discussion:

Ranking the Upgrades - Commanders (Rebel)
As a fun exercise, I have decided to go through the upgrade cards and arrange them into overall tiers.
Hopefully, doing so will let me look at the with a more critical eye going forward, and may help each of you examine your own choice of upgrades too:

Commander's Guide - MC80 Liberty-Class
Time to get caught up to Wave 4, which we should see next week(?). Unless you are at GenCon, in which case you already have it in your hands. Or you are Alexandra or Craig.
I am going to stop being jealous now and start talking about the ship.

Commander's Guide: GR-75 Transport
It's good to be back! Let's get things back on the right track with the GR-75 and the final ship of Wave III. Spoiled almost 2 months ago at the start of May, the GR-75 looks to seriously shake up the Rebel meta, adding some incredibly inexpensive ships to the faction that already had the cheapest cost activation previously.
So, what does it look like?

Bomber Command Center - Running the Numbers
Bomber Command Center is set to come out as a new fleet upgrade card with Wave 3 - though we do not yet know if it will come in both the Gonzati and GR-75 Transport, we do know a few things. Namely, we know it's cost (8 points) and it's effect:
Let's examine it's effect, and which bombers it works the best with.
Editor's Note: Some of my numbers (namely anything with 2 dice) is wrong, because I calculated it as both dice being re-rollable. That is incorrect. The actual numbers are close, but not quite right.

Strategy Discussion Mailbag: Escort Ship Tactics - Rebel (Part 2)
We have just talked about using Imperial small ships in an Escort to cover and protect your larger ships. Today we are going to go and look at how the Rebels approach the role of Escort ships.
The answer is... not intuitively. Where the Empire has ships designed to cover their biggest glaring weak points, the Rebels emphatically do not. That isn't to say there aren't ships that can fulfill these roles, but they aren't as easily identifiable as a properly kitted out Raider or Gladiator. Let's look at what the Rebels have available.

Commander's Guide - HWK-290
Having discussed the Big Names of the Rogues and Villains, and talking about the Rogue Generics, it's time to talk about the next set of fighters, with a new ability - Intel. That's right, the next two articles for the Commander's Guide are going to be about the Rebel's HWK-290 and the Imperial's Jumpmaster 5000.
Today, we're talking about the Rebel's squadron.

Commander's Guide - YT-2400
Last time we talked about Squadrons for Rebels in Wave 2, we talked about the YT-1300 and Han Solo. This time, we're going to talk about the "Han Solo Wannabe Hack" Dash Rendar and the YT-2400, the Rebel's first Rogue generic squadron. Well, let's get to it.
