The Matchup

Truthiness seems to think this is going to be a one sided matchup, with Roquax rolling over Darth's 4 A-Wings and rolling him up.  I think it is quite a bit more nuanced than that.

Roquax has built himself a Dodonna flavored 2+3 (using the saved points to make it a +4).  And it looks pretty scary.  Yavaris is the prize, at 88 points, with Gallant Haven annoying, harder to kill, and just under it at 87.  4 Flotillas make tabling difficult, even if you have things that can eat Flotillas.  His squadrons are the biggest, nastiest thing about the list, with Yavaris, Adar Tallon, Bomber Command Center, Toryn Farr all combining to make them even more threatening.

On the other hand, you have an MSU with one more activation, and everything a combat ship (save one lone transport).  4 A-Wings will pretty much be handed out as a free 44 points.  There are a couple of key points that make this not a total wash:  

- Admonition can eat Flotillas.  With H9 Turbolasers, it will mulch anything that it gets into close range with.

- Activation and Bid Advantage means Darth can first/last, reducing the danger poised by those squadrons, with only Corran having Rogue.

- Cham can basically shut down Yavaris, which takes a lot of heat off of the table.

So, Darth will be looking for ways to make up his points after handing the A-Wing 44 points over to Roquax.  I think it's entirely possible for him to do so.  That being said...

Biggs Bet

Roquax has a better matchup here.  I do agree with Truthiness who said Darth's squadron situation would probably have been better with just Shara / Tycho.  I don't think it's as sure of a thing as Truthiness does, but the advantage definitely lies with Roquax.
